We take your safety seriously, please take the time to read and understand the following which has been devised from our Fire Risk Assessment 

…it may save your life

Evacuation procedure – In the event of a fire or hearing an alarm;

All occupants to leave the building immediately, do not delay by collecting belongings

Close the door behind you if safe to do so

A fire blanket is provided to aid escape if required

Take the emergency torch with you

Ring the rotary fire bell to alert immediate neighbours (Glamping Huts Only)

Make your way to the fire assembly point

Call 999 – address details are on the torch

Ring owners – details on torch

DO NOT PUT YOURSELF AT RISK BY TACKLING THE FIRE

Do not return to accommodation until advised to do so

Fire Prevention – What we ask of you;

Please inform us prior to booking a stay with us if you have a disability that may hinder your escape should a fire break out. This could be a walking difficulty, hearing loss, anxiety etc. We can then ensure we put suitable measures in place for your safety. Should we not be able to implement suitable arrangements your stay (if already booked) will be cancelled in accordance with our cancellation policy.

You should immediately familiarise yourself of the emergency escape route, where the emergency light and the emergency torch is and the location of the rotary bell & fire point

The Fire assembly point is located at the Siop Bach/ Honesty shop.

We are a non-smoking site. Smoking is only permitted in your own garden at the designated area

No Smoking or Vaping inside the accommodation

Candles, incense sticks, BBQ, Firepits, portable gas cookers/burners/hobs or any other source of fire must not be used inside the accommodation or on the decking. A battery operated safety candle is provided

BBQ and Firepit must remain in designated areas

Only supplied electrical items are to be used

Charging is not permitted of any items with the exception of Mobile Phones & Personal Electrical Equipment – Specifically: Laptops/IPads/E-Cigs.  Do not leave these items charging unattended and do not charge on soft surfaces ie. bedding. A fire retardant area is provided for the safe charging location. You must ensure charging leads are approved and not faulty

Personal hair straighteners/tongs may be used so long as they are PAT tested by us. There is a charge of £5 per item. Please use heat pads/holders for these when in use and to cool down

Multi plug adapters, extension leads, electric blankets, portable heaters and fans are strictly prohibited

Should an electrical item get dropped or damaged accidental or otherwise, you must stop using the item and report to us immediately for re-testing

Rubbish must be recycled where possible in the signed communal bins. The bin inside the accommodation is for non-recyclable rubbish only. This is to reduce the volume of combustible waste within your living space.

Any combustible material such as firelighters, charcoal, wood, heat logs etc.  must be stored outside in the plastic lidded container

Any ash from BBQ, Firepit, Hot tub and smoking must be disposed of in the metal lidded bin located in your garden area

If freestanding heaters are provided by us, please ensure that they are used on the floor, not likely to be knocked over, not covered ie. clothing, towel etc.  and not blocking any escape routes. Please also ensure that the cable does not present a trip hazard

Cooking oil spray is provided. Please do not use any other form of oil. Cooking must not be left unattended at any time and always supervised by an adult

When using the toaster, ensure it is not directly beneath a wall unit or shelf

The Beach Hut -Do not leave the fire unattended at any time when on

All possessions must be stored away from doors to enable a safe emergency escape route

What we do to keep you safe – Prior to check in;

Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are checked

All electrical items are visually inspected

Batteries in the emergency lighting and torch are checked

We check that labels on the emergency torch are intact

The location of the fire blanket is checked

Thumb turns on the door handles are checked

All rubbish is removed from your accommodation

What we do to keep you safe – Annually;

All electrical items are PAT tested

All gas appliances have a safety check

Electrical safety checks are carried out

Our Fire Risk Assessment is reviewed at least annually
